About Real

We wanted a place to share photography where every image in front of you was actually taken by a camera. AI-generated and heavily AI-edited photos aren't allowed here: a real photographer has to point a real lens at something worth showing. That rule is enforced by the community: anyone can flag a suspected AI post, and a human moderator makes the final call.

Posts compete within a Monday-to-Sunday week, and the leaderboard ranks that week's photos purely by likes: whoever tops it gets crowned weekly champion, shown right on their profile. Explore holds every visible photo ever posted, so the site never feels empty even on a slow week. The mechanics are laid out in full on Help.

We're building toward sponsor-backed prizes for the weekly leaderboard: a brand can back a week's prize and reach a small, genuinely engaged photography audience. It's early. If that sounds interesting, reach out and we'll figure it out together rather than pitch you a rate card that doesn't exist yet.

Any sponsorship will always be labeled as sponsored, clearly, on the page it appears on. That's not negotiable.
